Conclave

Conclave (2024) – Very good movie! Well written, extremely well acted, interesting cinematography in beautiful locations. Note: It was not filmed in Vatican City! But they sure worked hard to find similar locations or recreate others with meticulous attention to detail (and the occasional artistic license). If you’re looking for action and adventure, this movie is NOT for you. It is, shall we say, carefully paced. That doesn’t mean slow or boring (at least, it doesn’t to me), but “fast paced” it is not. It is intricate and intriguing. I did figure out the ending, but only during the final conversation a few moments before the reveal. Until that moment, I didn’t suspect a thing. Well done indeed!
