Movie Talk,  MovieMuse Reviews by Erin

Labyrinth (1986)- Another of those “cult classic” films that I had seen in bits and pieces over the years but never all the way through in one sitting. What a terrible movie! Less Dark Crystal, more Fraggle Rock (though I think Fraggle Rock was much better). LOL However, it was bad in that “so bad it’s charming” kind of way that is unique to the 1980s. Even so, David Bowie is magnetic. It’s a shame he wasn’t given a better vehicle for both his musical and acting talents. Fun fact: the baby in the movie was the child of two of Henson employees and grew up to became a special effects technician and puppeteer who later worked on the Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance series that premiered in 2019. Talk about full circle!
