Ninety: A Conversation With Luke

Yesterday, we celebrated my grandfather’s 90th birthday. This was the conversation between my son and my mom.

Luke: We’re going to Great-Grandpa’s birthday party.
Nana: We are. Do you remember how old Great-Grandpa is?
Luke [thinks for a moment]: 90!
Nana: That’s right, he is 90 years old.
Luke: Yeah. That’s *almost* 100!
Nana [laughing]: It is almost 100.
Luke: Yeah. And on his next birthday, he’ll be 101, and then 102, and then….
